Business Requirement

This Tesco Case Study demonstrates how Inforoute’s software helped manage a fleet of around 6,000 trucks and trailers. Management received twice daily a report showing percentage VOR – Vehicles Off the Road – at each DC – Distribution Centre. The challenge was to provide real time % VOR reporting.


InfoRoute designed and configured a real time reporting system, using Sales Support & Service Manager. Workshops saw defects reported on vehicles by the Transport department immediately. Transport were alerted as each vehicle was repaired. Viewing latest repair status for all vehicles enabled plans to be adjusted to meet delivery targets.

TeamWorks247 operated 24/7 for 6 months.  Achievements included live operation on the target start date and 100% reliability with all staff operational as planned. The reaction throughout from Transport and Workshop staff was always positive. The trial was a complete success and proved the business case for Tesco to approve funding for major new system development.
